Walmart+ Week Details
The Walmart+ sale debuted in 2023, which ran consecutively with the long standing Amazon Prime Days sale. If you feel like the Walmart sale has been around much longer, it’s because it has. Walmart struggled to find footing with this sale, changing the name and format of the sale each year.
Following that trend, while the name stays the same, the sale is taking on a new format yet again. This sale will be held June 17-23, 2024, which is a full month ahead of the Amazon Prime Days sale (which is confirmed to happen again in mid-July).
What deals will be included in the Walmart+ Week sale?
The press release does not mention anything about doorbuster type deals, or any deals on physical products for that matter. They do have a ‘top secret mystery deal’, which will be announced on June 20th. No details are given, but my Jeopardy! skills lead me to think it may be a television or VR.
In addition to the top secret deal, shoppers can expect to:
- Get double the discount on fuel at Exxon & Mobil stations nationwide. That’s a whopping 20 cents off every gallon it takes to fill up your tank.
- Earn up to 20% back in Walmart Cash on flights, hotels, car rentals, and activities booked through Walmart+ Travel, perfectly timed for the summer travel season.
- Enjoy a complimentary Express Delivery, delivering your order right to your doorstep in under two hours, without the usual $10 fee.
- Experience three free months of Walmart+ InHome, ensuring the items you want most can be conveniently dropped off right on your kitchen counter.
- Get exclusive access to new and unique items for members only (stay tuned for more on this).
Is this sale open to all shoppers?
Unlike previous sales, where Walmart+ members received a head start, but all deals with remaining inventory were able to be purchased by anyone, this sale is expected to be only for Walmart+ members. I do think that we may see changes in that, especially if there are ‘doorbuster’ style items like we’ve seen in previous sales.
Can I access these deals with a Walmart+ free trial?
At this time, we are unclear on whether these deals will be available to trial members. Previous sales were only offered to paid members.
